ENUNCIADO. Resolver las siguientes ecuaciones:
a) $x^2+5x+6=0$
b) $\dfrac{1}{x-1}=x+1$

SOLUCIÓN.

a)
$x^2+5x+6=0$
  $x=\dfrac{-5\pm \sqrt{5^2-4\cdot 1 \cdot 6}}{2\cdot 1}=\dfrac{-5\pm 1}{2}=\left\{\begin{matrix}-2\\ \text{ó}\\-3\end{matrix}\right.$

b)
$\dfrac{1}{x-1}=x+1 \Leftrightarrow 1=(x-1)(x+1) \Leftrightarrow 1=x^2-1^2 \Leftrightarrow x^2=2$, de donde $$x=\sqrt{2}=\left\{\begin{matrix}\sqrt{2}\\\text{ó}\\-\sqrt{2}\end{matrix}\right.$$
